Dexamethasone Recall

On March 16th, 2011,the FDA published on their website that  American Regent has recalled Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate.  This recall was due to some of the vials containing particulates or having the potential to form particulates prior to their respective expiration dates.  It is believed this may disrupt blood flow within small blood vessels in the lung as well as cause localized inflammation and granuloma formation.  It is recommended that clinics using this should discontinue immediately to prevent liability issues.  To read more click here.
