Ryan Monastra
Ryan Monastra is director and sole charge physiotherapist at Back In Action.
A Physiotherapist with ten years experience, post graduating from the University of Otago in 2001. He has worked in both the private and public health sector in New Zealand.
He has also worked internationally in both the UK (2 years) and Australia (1 year) which gives him a breadth of experience in different healthcare systems as well.
His clinical interests include:
- Clinical Pilates applications for spinal pain management,
- Chronic and complex pain management and the role of education in health,
- Sports performance enhancement and integrated healthcare solutions.
Ryan originally hails from Wellington and the Kapiti Coast, but spent many of his childhood summers in the Wairarapa, developing a love for the region and it’s people which led to him moving his family here in 2010.
When not busy at work he can be found spending time with his family, playing with his children, riding his bike or exploring the region. More on Ryan’s clinical background
