Michael Neely
Michael Neely, D.O.
Dr. Neely is a board certified Diplomat of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) and a Board Certified Sports Medicine Doctor and a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR). He is also an Associate Member of the American Osteopathic Association.
Prior to establishing NY Sports Med, Dr. Neely worked with New York City’s most reputed orthopedic surgeons at Seaport Orthopedic Associates. Before moving to New York City, he was Director of the Transitional Care Unit at Deaconess Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, and had a private practice specializing in work-related injuries.
Dr. Neely received his medical degree from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a Specialty Internal Medicine Track Internship at South Pointe Hospital of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation /Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He served as Chief Resident during his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at MetroHealth Medical Center / Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. His intensive study of Physical Medicine included specific training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, the Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital for Rehabilitation, and the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Medical Center.
