Jarod Carter
Jarod Carter PT, DPT, MTC attended The University of Texas where he was a Diver on the National Champion UT Swimming and Diving Team. After graduating with High Honors in Kinesiology, he attended The University of St. Augustine, due to its reputation as a leader in Manual Therapy training. In 2005, he earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, and graduated Valedictorian of his class. He then pursued an aggressive Continuing Education path, acquiring certifications in Manual Therapy (MTC) and Strength and Conditioning (CSCS).
Since becoming a PT, he has continuously sought out skilled mentors and learning opportunities in Manual Therapy and business alike. In Spring 2010, Dr. Carter founded Carter Physiotherapy, a cash-based Physical Therapy clinic where he provides an hour of one-on-one care in every treatment session, focusing on Manual Therapy. He is frequently able to resolve musculoskeletal injuries like ankle sprains and various types of tendonitis in just a few treatments. Via creative marketing and his reputation for giving fast results, his patient schedule was full within 6 months of opening his cash-based practice.
With Insurance and Medicare reimbursements on the decline, many insurance-based PT clinics are struggling to maintain profit margins along with quality care. Dr Carter sees cash-based services as an important part of surviving the coming changes in the health care industry, as well maintaining high quality treatment options for consumers. For this reason, Dr Carter is now helping other Physical Therapists add and convert to cash-based services, and avoid having the insurance industry dictate how they treat patients and remain profitable.
