Bronwyn Spira is the President and Co-Founder of FORCE Physical Therapy (www.forcetherapeutics.com), a private practice in Greenwich Village, New York. She is currently developing a web and mobile based patient management application for physical therapists which includes video-based exercise programs, compliance monitoring, objective data entry and analysis – all within a secure password-protected environment.
Bronwyn has worked and studied in Johannesburg, London, San Francisco, Connecticut and New York. She spent six years as the director of inpatient rehabilitation at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation where she specialized in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation. Bronwyn lectured at New York University for the Masters and Doctoral programs in physical therapy. In addition, Ms. Spira has served as director of several large New York based physical therapy practices where her main emphasis has always been on personalized quality care. She analyses and educates her patients on the biomechanical causes of their ailments in order to achieve and maintain complete physical wellness.
In her 17 years of experience, working with thousands of patients across multiple practices and all different types of injuries, she has developed unique treatment regimes for physical rehabilitation and injury prevention. Her patients and doctor referral sources view her as one of the leading PTs in the New York area, particularly in the sub specialty of sports and orthopedics. Bronwyn received her physical therapy degree in Johannesburg in 1992 and has been awarded multiple diplomas in post-graduate study.
